Treasury U-turn affecting Interim Managers
07 May 2008
HM Treasury introduced new regulations which came into effect on 15 December 2007 and HMRC (who are responsible for compliance) guidelines stated that interim providers and interim managers working through a personal service company were caught by the regulations under the category of 'Trust and Company Service Providers'.
Following a legal challenge, HMT has now retracted from its original position and interim managers are no longer required to register. Those who have registered are entitled to a refund.
