Richard's background has been predominantly in business development within the Information Technology and Energy sector. He started his career with Digital Equipment Corporation (now Hewlett Packard) before moving to Atos Origin, a global IT Systems Integrator. In both companies, he spent the majority of his time developing business relationships with globally integrated oil and gas companies.

In 2001, Richard decided to focus on the human capital side of business and bought a franchise with MRI Worldwide, which he ran until he joined Norman Broadbent in September 2008 to focus on building an energy Centre of Excellence.

Richard's expertise covers Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Renewables (Solar, Wind, Tide, Biomass, Nuclear).
