Mike is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and started his career in the Hospitality Industry in a variety of senior roles before qualifying as a Psychologist. He moved to the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency in 1998 as a Senior Psychologist, researching training issues for the UK Armed Forces and where he also completed his doctorate.

Mike joined Norman Broadbent in 2003, after working for boutique consultancies specialising in the broader areas of Occupational Psychology. He heads up the Leadership Centre of Excellence working with a range of the firm’s clients. His role is to enhance the effectiveness of individuals, teams and organisations in the world of work.

Mike has expertise working within Retail, Financial Services, Construction, Professional Services, Not-for-Profit, Healthcare and the NHS. The Centre of Excellence specialises in Executive Assessment and Development, Executive Coaching, Board Development, Talent Management and Corporate Cultural Change. Mike is also an Assessor on the Board of the British Psychological Society’s Occupational Psychology Division.
