Technology and Telecoms
Organisations in the fast moving sectors of technology and telecommunications face the challenge of an ever-changing environment with new market entrants, disruptive technology, changing competitor strategy, frequent merger activity and convergent technology. We understand this environment, and more importantly the people who thrive in meeting these unique challenges.
Norman Broadbent's Technology Practice recruits senior executives in four sectors:
Private Equity - A core strength is identifying, evaluating and recruiting leadership teams for private equity-owned companies by working closely with the boards of these companies and their investors. We also use our sector knowledge and insight to help our clients to appraise the management teams of potential acquisitions. Most of our clients in this sector tend to have business models with predictable long-term cash flows and where consolidation is taking place to support strong EBITDA growth . Investors typically have assets under management ranging from £500 million to £10 billion.
Venture Capital - Clients in this field have developed disruptive technologies that need to be commercialised and often have incomplete management teams in recently created organisations. Most of our clients, in this sector, tend to have business models based on new market entry plans, revenue growth and market share gains. Investors typically have assets under management ranging from £50 million to £500 million.
Global Technology & Telecoms businesses - We have long-standing relationships with some of the pre-eminent players in the software, IT outsourcing, IT Services, hardware/systems, wireless and fixed telecommunications and semiconductor industries. We have helped our clients to change, grow and plan for succession by assessing and building their management and leadership teams across the various corporate disciplines or sales, marketing, operations, finance, HR, IT and strategy.
Chief Information Officers - The IT function has a major impact on a company's operating performance and competitiveness. As a result, having the right IT leadership in place to ensure that IT is a strategic asset to the business and not a utility drain on the business is critically important. Our CIO Practice is an established recruiter of outstanding IT executives across all industry sectors.
