Interim Management

If you need someone to drive organisational change, implement new technology, launch a new product or service, restructure the business, cover a vacant role, manage an integration programme or prepare a business for sale, interim management could be the ideal solution.

Good interim managers are respected, experienced, objective and results-orientated. They thrive under pressure and pride themselves on their ability to deliver solutions fast. And, because career interim managers are relatively few in number, Norman Broadbent's Interim Practice ensures it knows them individually, enabling the practice to identify the best person for each job.

Yet hiring someone for a short-term assignment inevitably carries a degree of risk, if only because most appointments are business-critical. The Interim Management Practice only utilises career interim managers, combined with Norman Broadbent's experience and ISO 9001-accreditated standards, helps clients to manage this risk effectively.

Just as important, though, are the key personal indicators against which the success of the appointed manager will be measured. A performance management system allows clients to quantify the value that an interim manager brings to the business - which on average is five times what they cost to hire.

New to Interim Management
We prefer to work with career interim executives who operate on a limited company basis and will only consider applications from candidates where this is the case. We do not register candidates who are seeking a permanent role. Please review our Introduction to Interim Management which provides an insight into how we operate.

The IMA run a one-day workshop for candidates who are new to interim management.  The workshop is an excellent source of useful information on the industry whilst offering advice on finding the best interim provider to match your skills and examining the core competencies required in interim candidates.  For further details please click here.
