James is a Partner in the Consumer Markets Practice at Norman Broadbent, where he leads the firm’s global Travel, Hospitality & Leisure sector.
With more than 19 years’ experience in international executive search, James specialises in advising boards and leadership teams on senior appointments across the hospitality, travel and consumer sectors. Prior to joining Norman Broadbent, he led the global Hospitality & Leisure Practice at Society | Executive Search and played a key role in the firm’s international expansion, establishing its New York office and building operations across the Asia-Pacific region.
James has delivered senior leadership appointments for a broad range of international clients, including Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Archer Capital, Kinsfolk & Co and The Hong Kong Club. He is a strong advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion, and is committed to developing recruitment strategies that broaden talent pipelines and bring diverse, global candidates to leadership teams.
Earlier in his career, James held executive search roles with PSD Group, Hostec and Hudson Global Resources. He was educated at Stonyhurst College and later studied Hospitality Management at Thames Valley University (now the University of West London).
