Simon is Managing Director of our Civil Society, Education and Public Sector Practice. This Practice was formed when Norman Broadbent acquired the executive search firm Society in 2026 – a business Simon co-founded 16 years earlier. Under Simon’s leadership, Society achieved B Corp certification, expanded internationally, and established a charitable partner, called The Society Foundation, of which he was a founding trustee. Prior to founding Society, he worked for the executive search firms Perrett Laver and Signium International.
Over the course of his career, Simon has advised on Chief Executive, Vice-Chancellor, Principal, and other senior appointments for organisations ranging from global education groups and membership organisations through to international charities and purpose-led businesses. Alongside executive search, he has extensive experience supporting boards with Chair and Non-Executive Director appointments, as well as with leadership succession and governance issues.
Simon grew up in South Wales and read Philosophy and Politics at the University of Warwick.
Outside of work, Simon enjoys history, comedy, live music, and spending time with his two young children. He also serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees at Hitchin Girls' School in Hertfordshire.
