Michael is the Managing Director for Norman Broadbent’s operations in Scotland and leads our global practice focused on private capital and investors. He has over 14 years’ experience in executive search, talent advisory and leadership consulting, and has supported a range of organisations from early-stage, high-growth ventures to major listed companies. Michael is particularly well known for his work with private equity and venture capital investors, across the energy, climate and industrial technology markets.
Throughout his career, Michael has delivered complex and strategically critical search projects at executive and board level with an international remit, having managed assignments across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Australia.
Michael has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. He is also accredited with the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma and is a qualified practitioner in the Thomas International suite of behavioural assessment tools.
Outside of work, Michael is kept very busy with family life and his spare time is typically spent as an enthusiastic supporter of the extra-curricular commitments of his two children. He has played basketball for most of his life and now spends more time coaching at youth age groups.
